Note: Privacy codes are specific to each channel. Make sure the person you want to communicate with has the same code set on the same channel you do. 1. Open the FRS menu. Select CODE and press ENTER. 2. The current FRS channel is highlighted. Use the CHANNEL UP or CHANNEL DOWN button to select a different channel. Any channel that has a privacy code enabled has an asterisk in the display. FRS CTCSS Channel 09 Channel 10 Channel 11 * CHANNEL 10-OFF 3. Choose On to enable a privacy code on this channel or choose Off to disable a previously-set code. On Off Exit 4. Enter a code number between 001 and 142.
