ADJUSTING THE WEIGHT BENCH The instructions below describe how the weight bench can be adjusted. Refer to USING THE WEIGHT BENCH on page 11 for information about exercises that can be performed with the weight bench. Inspect and tighten all parts each time you use the weight bench. Replace any worn parts immediately. The weight bench can be cleaned with a damp cloth and a mild, non-abrasive detergent. Do not use solvents. ADJUSTING THE BACKREST To use the Backrest (4) in a level position, remove the Backrest Tube (25). Lay the Backrest on the Main Frame (3). Use the Locking Pins (52) to adjust the height of the Weight Rests (24) (see ADJUSTING THE WEIGHT RESTS below.) To use the Backrest (4) in an inclined position, first remove the Locking Pins (52). Raise the Backrest, and insert the Backrest Tube (25) through one of the three sets of large holes in the "H"-Frame (1). As you insert the Backrest lbbe, adjust the height of the Weight Rests (24) and insert the Backrest Tube through the Weight Rests. Rotate the Backrest Tube to the locked position, with the end of the Backrest Tube clipped onto the "H"Frame. Lay the Backrest on the Backrest Tube. 24 52 • 4 1 25 3 ADJUSTING THE WEIGHT RESTS When the Backrest (4) is in the level position, the . Weight Rests (24) must be secured with the Locking Pins (52). Raise the Weight Rests to the desired height, and align one of the holes in each Weight Rest with the small hole in the "H"-Frame (1). Insert the Locking Pins through the 1-r-Frame and the Weight Rests. Rotate the Locking Pins to the locked position, with the Locking Pins clipped onto the 1-r-Frame. IMPORTANT: For safety, make sure that both Weight Rests are at the same height ATTACHING WEIGHTS TO THE WEIGHT BENCH To use the Leg Lever (8), make sure that there is a Weight Stop (29) on the Weight Tube (7). Slide the • desired amount of weight (not included) onto a Weight Tube. WARNING: Do not place more tha 125 pounds on the Leg Lever. Inspect

To

in
a
level
position,
remove
the
Backrest
Tube
(25).
Lay
the
Backrest
on
the
Main
Frame

Use

Pins
(52)
to
adjust
the
height
of
the
Weight
Rests
(24)
(see
ADJUSTING
THE
WEIGHT
RESTS
below.)
To
use
the
Backrest

in
an

first

the
Locking
Pins
(52).
Raise
the
Backrest,
and
insert
the
Backrest
Tube
(25)
through

of
the

As
you
insert
the
Backrest
lbbe,
adjust
the
height
of
the
Weight
Rests
(24)
and
insert
the
Backrest
Tube
through
the
Weight
Rests.
Rotate
the
Backrest
Tube
to
the
locked
position,
with
the
end
of
the
Backrest
Tube
clipped
onto
the
"H"
-
Frame.
Lay
the
Backrest
on
the
Backrest
Tube.

When

Backrest

is
in
the
level
position,
the

Rests

at
the

height
