The power/activity LED shows the drive's power state and activity as follows: LED Appearance Power State/Activity On steady Fast flashing, approximately 3 times per second Slow flashing approximately every 2.5 seconds Idle Active System standby Lock Indicator LED. The lock indicator LED shows whether the drive is password protected. It is turned off only when you remove the password from the drive or the drive loses power. Power Button Use the power button is to safely power down the drive and avoid data loss or damage to the drive.
