22-17 Network Setup options Network Setup Protocol Setup TCP/IP Setup DocuColor using TCP/IP, choose Gateway Setup and enter the gateway address (see page 2-16). Token Ring Setup Enable TCP/IP for Token Ring Yes/No [No] Select Yes if you have a TCP/IP network connected to the DocuColor over Token Ring. If you use Token Ring, enabling TCP/IP for Token Ring is required for enabling the WebTools. NOTE: If you are using TCP/IP for printing from Windows NT workstations, enabling TCP/IP here also enables you to use the remote utilities from Windows NT workstations using TCP/IP protocols. IP Address [127.0.0.1] Enter the DocuColor IP address for Token Ring. The DocuColor is shipped with an invalid IP address. If you plan to print with TCP/IP, you must first assign the DocuColor a unique, valid IP address. For information about setting up printing with TCP/IP, see Chapter 3. Subnet Mask [255.255.255.0] This option lets you modify the subnet mask for printing with TCP/IP over Token Ring. The subnet mask is set to 255.255.255.0 by default. If you set the IP address and you need to set the subnet mask, enter one of the following values: • 255.0.0.0-If the IP address starts with a number less than 128. • 255.255.0.0-If the IP address starts with a number from 128 through 191. • 255.255.255.0-If the IP address starts with a number greater than 191.

If you set the IP address and you need to set the subnet mask, enter one of the follow-
ing values:
255.0.0.0
—If the IP address starts with a number less than 128.
