22-24 Setting up the Fiery SI Publish Direct Connection Yes/No [Yes] This option enables users to print (or download) jobs to the Fiery SI without spooling. Note that jobs printed to the Direct connection are not saved in the Printed queue. If you plan to download fonts from any system to the Fiery SI, you must publish the Direct connection. If you do not want users to print to Direct, choose No. Publish Print Queue Yes/No [Yes] This option enables users to print (or download) jobs to the Print queue. Jobs that are printed to the Print queue are spooled on the Fiery SI disk. Only queues published in the Printer Setup are available to remote users. If you are printing to the Fiery SI over a TCP/IP network, you must publish either (or both) the Print queue and the Hold queue. If you plan to use the Fiery SI utilities on any system, you must publish the Print queue. Publish Hold Queue Yes/No [Yes] Use this option to enable users to print (or download) jobs to the Hold queue. Jobs in the Hold queue can only be printed by copying or moving the jobs to the Print queue with the Fiery XJ Spooler. If you do not want users to print to Hold, choose No. IPX (Novell) options in Printer Setup The following options are only displayed if in the Network Setup you selected Yes for Enable IPX (Novell) and you configured Ethernet or token ring servers. In these screens you attach an IPX (Novell) file server to a Fiery SI connection (Direct, Print queue, or Hold queue). Repeat this process for each Novell file server you have configured to print to the Fiery SI. If you change your mind about a screen you have chosen, press the Menu button to escape. When you exit the submenus, you are prompted to Save Changes, and you return to the main setup menu.

Setting up the Fiery SI
Publish Direct Connection

This option enables users to print (or download) jobs to the Fiery SI without spooling.

This option enables users to print (or download) jobs to the Print queue. Jobs that are
printed to the Print queue are spooled on the Fiery SI disk. Only queues published in

both) the Print queue and the Hold queue.

Use this option to enable users to print (or download) jobs to the Hold queue. Jobs in
the Hold queue can only be printed by copying or moving the jobs to the Print queue
with the Fiery XJ Spooler. If you do not want users to print to Hold, choose

The following options are only displayed if in the Network Setup you selected
