Using the Control Panel Menu Options Table 3.6 on the following pages lists the variables that can be controlled at the printer's Control Panel, organized by menu in the order in which they appear when scrolling through the display1. Since these variables are generally used in configuring the printer's default settings-a System Administrator's task-specific details of the menu items and their values are contained in the System Administrator Guide on the printer CD. In addition, the System Administrator Guide lists all the operations associated with the Control Panel keys and lists the specific key processes which need to be executed to set any of these variables. Printer settings selected in your application or printer driver override the default settings in the Control Panel when you submit your print jobs for printing. 1.
