MIDI [MIDI SETTING]
Procedure
Press the [MIDI SETTING] button to enter MIDI setting mode.
This parameter enables you to specify the channel on
which the Clavinova transmits MIDI data.
See the procedure on page 72.
Setting for:
Main, Left, Layer, Left Layer
Setting range:
Ch1 - Ch16, Off (Not transmitted.)
Normal setting:
Main — Ch1
Left — Ch2
Layer — Ch3
Left Layer— Ch4
This parameter enables you to specify for each channel
whether the Clavinova receives data at the MIDI [IN]
connector or the [TO HOST] port A (CBX driver’s
port A).
The received data is played back using the XG voices (page
6 in the “Reference Booklet” for the CLP-970). You can also
assign the Clavinova’s preset voices to part of the data. (See
“XG Alternative” on page 90.)
