TROUBLESHOOTING I Remote control Problem Cause Remedy The remote control does not work nor function properly. The remote control does not "learn" new functions. Wrong distance or angle. The remote control will function within a maximum range of 6 m (20 feet) and no more than 30 degrees off-axis from the front panel (see page 7). Direct sunlight or lighting (from an inverter type of fluorescent lamp, etc.) is striking the remote control sensor of this unit. Reposition this unit. The batteries are weak. Replace the batteries. The manufacturer code has not been correctly set. Set the manufacturer code correctly (see page 45). Try to set the other codes of the same maufacturer (see page 45). Even if the maufacturer code is correctly set, there are some models that do not respond to the remote control. Program the necessary functions independently into the programmable buttons on this unit's remote control using the Learn feature. The batteries of this remote control and/ Replace the batteries (see page 3). or the other remote control are too weak. The distance between the two remote controls is too much or too little.
