INTRODUCTION A STANDBY Sets this unit in the standby mode. B SYSTEM POWER Turns on the power of this unit. C SLEEP Sets the sleep timer. D MULTI CH IN Selects multi-channel input when using an external decoder (etc.). E AMP Selects the AMP mode. You must select the AMP mode to control the main unit. F VOLUME +/- Increases or decreases the volume level. G MUTE Mutes the sound. Press again to restore the audio output to the previous volume level. H STRAIGHT (EFFECT), ENT.* Switches the sound fields off or on. When STRAIGHT is selected, input signals (2-channel or multi-channel) are output directly from their respective speakers without effect processing. I SET MENU, SRCH MODE* Activates the SET MENU function. Selects preset station groups when the unit is in tuner mode. * Available only when the unit is in the XM Satellite Radio mode (see page 41). CONTROLS AND FUNCTIONS Using the remote control The remote control transmits a directional infrared beam. Be sure to aim the remote control directly at the remote control sensor on the main unit during operation.
