Recording Your Own Performance ◆ Pattern Track Selected for Recording Press the TRACK [PATTTERN] button while holding down the [TRACK SELECT/MUTE] button. The pattern track will be highlighted and the record standby mode will be engaged. NOTE • To cancel recording to a selected track, press that track button a second time. The FINGER mode cannot be turned on or off once you have started recording. Press and Hold Pattern track highlighted. ◆ Changing the Pattern Being Recorded Press the [PATTERN] button and use the dial to select the desired pattern. Once the pattern has been selected press the [EXIT] button. 4 Recording will start when you play on the keyboard. You can also start recording by pressing the [START/STOP] button. Press the [EXIT] button, and the measure number will be shown in the Main display. Current measure number NOTE • If the memory becomes full during recording a warning message will appear and recording will stop automatically. Use the song clear or track clear function (page 33) to delete unwanted data and make more room available for recording, then do the recording again. Start recording 5 Stop recording by pressing the [START/STOP] or [REC] button. When recording stops the current measure number will return to 001 and the recorded track numbers in the display will appear with a frame around them. MM6/MM8 Owner's Manual 31
