It is possible that the Intelligent Key functions can become cancelled. Contact an INFINITI dealer. - Do not use a magnet key holder. - Do not place the Intelligent Key near an electric appliance such as a television set or personal computer. - Do not place the Intelligent Key in a storage area (for example, a door pocket or glove box). It could be damaged or activated unexpectedly. Do not allow the Intelligent Key to come into contact with water or salt water, and be careful not to let the key be washed in a washing machine. This could affect the system function. If an Intelligent Key is lost or stolen, INFINITI recommends erasing the ID code of that Intelligent Key. This will prevent the Intelligent Key from unauthorized use to unlock the vehicle. For information regarding the erasing procedure, please contact an INFINITI dealer. DOOR LOCKS/UNLOCKS PRECAUTION After locking with the door handle request switch, make sure the doors are securely locked. To prevent the Intelligent Key from being left inside the vehicle, make sure you carry the key with you and then lock the doors. You can lock or unlock the doors using only the door handle, which detects the Intelligent Key. It is not possible to lock the doors with the lock knob when the driver's door is open, the ignition switch is pushed in or the metal key is in the ignition switch. When you try to unlock the door while pulling the door handle, the door may not unlock. In this case, release the door handle and the door will unlock. Pull the door handle again and the door will open. The outside beep, which indicates the lock and unlock functions, can be canceled with the LOCK/UNLOCK button on the Intelligent Key and the vehicle CAUTION Be sure to carry the Intelligent Key with you when driving. The Intelligent Key is a precision device with a built-in transmitter. To avoid damaging it, please note the following. - Wetting may damage the Intelligent Key. It is possible that the Intelligent Key func-

CAUTION
Be sure to carry the Intelligent Key with you
when driving. The Intelligent Key is a preci-
sion device with a built-in transmitter. To
avoid damaging it, please note the fol-
lowing.
Wetting may damage the Intelligent
Key. If the Intelligent Key gets wet, im-
mediately wipe until it is completely dry.
Do not bend, drop or strike it against an-
other object.
Do not place the Intelligent Key for an
extended period in a place where tem-
peratures exceed 140°F (60°C).
Do not change or modify the Intelligent
Key.
Do not use a magnet key holder.
