Use the left side of (1) button for the first digit, the right side of the the (2) button for the second digit and the left side of the (3) button for the last digit. Pressing once will display "0," so press each button one time more than the number you want to input. For example, if your number is 420, press the (1) button five times, the (2) button three times and the (3) button once. If the display returns to "---" while inputting, try again. We recommend that your identification number be associated with something easy to remember. In case you are unsure of the number, write it in a notebook you normally carry. Do not leave it in your vehicle. 5. With your identification number appearing on the display, (SCAN) button and hold it until "SEC" appears press the on the display.
