1. Push the release lever located in front of the handle of the sliding rear tray to release the pin from the floor track assembly. 2. Pull the sliding rear tray toward you without lifting it up. 3. You will hear a click when the sliding rear tray is locked into the extended position. This is where the sliding rear tray needs to be in order to be able to remove the spare tire. 4. Open the driver's side storage compartment door of the sliding rear tray. 5. Remove the cap on the bottom of the storage compartment. The front hole is the access to the hoist shaft. 6. Remove the extension tube that is attached at the rear of the storage compartment. 7. Flip the cut out carpet that is located under the storage compartment, through the front hole of the storage compartment. 8. Insert one end of the extension tube to the hoist shaft and attach the folding wrench to the other end of the tube. 9. Turn the folding wrench counterclockwise to lower the spare tire to the ground. Continue to turn the wrench so the spare tire can be pulled out from under the vehicle. 10. Tilt the retainer at the end of the cable so it can be pulled up through the wheel opening and remove the compact spare tire from the cable. 11. Turn the wrench clockwise to raise the cable back up. Do not try to store the full size tire under the vehicle. 5-25
