360 CHAPTER 16 Adobe Captivate and other software applications Adobe Captivate and Adobe Acrobat Connect Professional Adobe® Acrobat® Connect™ Professional lets others quickly and easily participate in online meetings, presentations, and training over the Internet. The integration between Acrobat Connect Professional and Adobe Captivate enables users to make the Acrobat Connect Professional experience better than ever by including interactive software simulations and demonstrations. The key integration features include the following: • Acrobat Connect Professional and Adobe® Connect™ Training Increase meeting and training effectiveness by adding Adobe Captivate demonstrations and interactive simulations. Presenters can use the Sync button so their actions are viewed by all participants or, by turning off the sync option, participants can fully interact with the Adobe Captivate demonstration or simulation on their individual computers. • Deliver and publish with ease Deliver Adobe Captivate simulations and demonstrations through standard web browsers. Acrobat Connect Professional users can publish Adobe Captivate projects directly to Connect Enterprise, making them easily accessible by others. • Use Adobe Captivate's Acrobat Connect Professional integration options In Adobe Captivate, you can select two options that help Adobe Captivate and Acrobat Connect Professional work together smoothly. The Include Adobe Connect metadata option adds information to the Adobe Captivate project files that makes it easier for the Adobe Captivate project and its contents to be found during searches that users do in Acrobat Connect Professional. You can also select Acrobat Connect Professional as your quiz reporting output option. This option enables Acrobat Connect Professional to easily track how users work with quizzes and interactive objects in Adobe Captivate projects. You can also put the project into a ZIP file for easier uploading. With Acrobat Connect Professional integration, you can also update video files easily. Note: You can use Adobe Captivate with Acrobat Connect version 4.1 or later. You can use the tracking option only with Acrobat Connect version 5 or later. Publishing projects to Adobe Connect Enterprise You can deliver Adobe Captivate simulations and demonstrations through standard web browsers. Adobe Connect users can publish Adobe Captivate projects directly to the Adobe Connect Enterprise. To publish a project to a Connect Enterprise server: 1 Open an Adobe Captivate project. 2 From the File menu, select Publish.
