The controls operate the currently playing app, or the most recent app that played, if the audio is paused. The icon for the active app appears on the right. You can tap the icon to open the app. If iPod touch is locked and music is playing, double-click the Home button. Note: On iPod touch 2nd generation, if you're listening to music while using another app, or if iPod touch is locked, you can display the playback controls by double-clicking the Home button.
