4. BIOS SETUP 4.3 Main Menu When the Setup program is accessed, the following screen appears: 4. BIOS SETUP Main Menu System Date To set the date, select this field and then press or to set the current date. Follow the month, day and year format. Valid values for month, day and year are: Month: (Jan to Dec), Day: (01 to 31), Year: (1901 to 2099) SystemTime To set the time, select this field and then press or to set the current time. Follow the hour, minute and second format. Valid values for hour, minute and second are: (Hour: (00 to 23), Minute: (00 to 59), Second: (00 to 59). NOTE: You can bypass the date and time prompts by creating an AUTOEXEC.BAT file. For information on how to create this file, refer to the MS-DOS manual. Floppy Drive A [1.44 MB 3 1/2] / Floppy Drive B [Not Installed] These fields record the types of floppy disk drives installed in your system. Available options for drives A and B: [Not Installed] [360KB 5 1/4] [1.2MB 5 1/4] [720KB 3 1/2] [1.44MB 3 1/2] [2.88MB 3 1/2] Primary & Secondary IDE Master / Slave [Auto] See 4.3.1 Primary & Seconday IDE Master/Slave for details. Auto-Detect Hard Disks This option detects the parameters of an IDE hard disk drive and automatically enters them into the Main Setup menu. The only difference between this option and the [Auto] option in the Primary/Secondary IDE Master/Slave fields is that this option allows the BIOS program to remember the drive information and to skip IDE deivce detection routines during bootup hereafter. Therefore, the system may not be able to recognize new IDE devices installed after you activate this option and you must select [Auto] for the IDE Device Configuration field or manually enter the information for those devices. 52 ASUS K7M User's Manual

When the Setup program is accessed, the following screen appears:
System Date
To set the date, select this field and then press <+> or <–> to set the current date. Follow
the month, day and year format. Valid values for month, day and year are:
Month: (Jan

Auto-Detect Hard Disks
This option detects the parameters of an IDE hard disk drive and automatically en-
ters them into the Main Setup menu. The only difference between this option and the
[Auto] option in the

fields is that this op-
