BIOS SETUP ACPI Aware O/S [Yes] Advanced Configuration and Power Interface (ACPI) specifies how software and hardware components talk to each other about power consumption. Its integrates various power management tools such as BIOS code, Advanced Power Management and PNPBIOS Application Porgramming Interfaces into the OS to achieve operating system directed power management. If you are using an ACPI-compatible system, select [Yes] to take advantage of the ACPI features. Power Management/APM [Enabled] Advanced Power Management (APM) is an application program interface that includes power management in the BIOS. Leave on the Setup default [Enabled]. NOTE: To access the following 18 BIOS power management features, you must set this field to [Enabled]. Green PC Monitor Power State [Stand by] (*APM feature) This field sets the state of the green monitor in use when the system enters powersaving mode. Available options: [Stand By] [Suspend] [Off] Video Power Down Mode [Stand By] (*APM feature) This field determines when to power down the monitor for monitor power management. ACPI Aware O/S [Yes]
Advanced Configuration and Power Interface (ACPI) specifies how software and
hardware components talk to each other about power consumption. Its integrates
various power management tools such as BIOS code, Advanced Power Manage-
ment and PNPBIOS Application Porgramming Interfaces into the OS to achieve
operating system directed power management. If you are using an ACPI-compatible
system, select [Yes] to take advantage of the ACPI features.
