6.2.2 Red Hat® Enterprise ver. 3.0 Follow these instructions when installing the Marvell® 88E8056 LAN controller base driver for the Red Hat® Enterprise ver. 3.0 operating system. Building the driver Install first the Kernel Development tools before building the driver from the TAR file. To build the driver: 1. Copy the Lan Driver from the SCD and save it in TMP. 2. Decompress the file. 3. Enter DriverInstall. 4 Enter ./install.sh. 5. Enter # cd/usr/src/linux # cat/patch-location/sk98lin_vX.XX_a_b_c_patch | patch -p1. 6. Enter make menuconfig, select Marvell 1000 Lan from the prompt menu, and then select M from the submenu. 7. Enter make clean. 8. Enter make modules. 9. Enter make modules SUBDIRS=drivers/net/sk98lin/ V=1. 10 Enter make modules_install SUBDIRS=drivers/net/sk98lin/ V=1. 11 Enter rm /lib/modules/2.6.16.21-0.8-bigsmp/kernel/drivers/net/ssk98lin/ sk98lin.ko. 12. To build the driver:
