āCleaning and Maintenance Care and Cleaning of Your Microwave Oven Before Cleaning After Cleaning Inside of the oven Outside oven surfaces Oven Door CAUTION:ĄIt is important to keep the oven clean and dry. Food residue and condensation may cause rusting or arcing and damage to the oven. After use, wipe dry all surfacesĆincluding vent openings, oven seams, and under Ceramic Tray. Unplug oven at wall outlet. If outlet is inaccessible, leave oven door open while cleaning. Make sure parts are cool. Be sure to place the Roller Ring and the Ceramic Tray in the proper position and press Pause/Stop Pad to clear the Display. Wipe with a damp cloth after using. Mild detergent may be used if needed. Do not use harsh detergents or abrasives. The interior of the oven is stainless steel. To prevent bakedĆon soil, clean food spatters or spilled liquids as they occur. For hard to remove soil, use a mild detergent, a nonĆabrasive cleanser or spray with an all purpose cleaner and wipe dry. Do not use harsh detergents or abrasive cleaners on any oven surface. Plastic scouring pads may be used. To help loosen soil before cleaning, heat 500 ml (2 cups) of water in a 1 L (4 cups) glass measuring container at High power for 5 minutes or until boiling. Note: Do not use oven cleaners on the top of the oven. Clean with a damp cloth. To prevent damage to the operating parts inside the oven, water should not be allowed to seep into ventilation openings. Steam will be given off cooking food and collect on the oven walls and door. During conditions of high humidity, steam may occur on the outside of the oven and in no way indicates a malfunction. Wipe dry with a soft cloth. Wipe with a soft dry cloth when steam accumulates inside or around the outside of the oven door. During cooking, especially under high humidity conditions, steam is given off from the food. (Some steam will condense on cooler surfaces, such as the oven door). This is normal. 38
