CAUTION • When sewing, be sure that the needle does not touch the button, otherwise the needle may bend or break. 9 Sew about 10 stitches at a slow speed. Pull the upper thread at the end of the stitching to the wrong side of the fabric, and then tie it with the bobbin thread. 11 When you are finished attaching the button, slide the feed dog position switch, to and turn the handwheel to raise the feed dogs. CAUTION • When using zipper foot "I", be sure to select the straight stitch (middle (center) needle position), and slowly turn the handwheel toward you (counterclockwise) to check that the needle does not touch the presser foot. If a different stitch is selected or the needle hits the presser foot, the needle may bend or break.
