Back to the Basics Guide Booklet BLINDHEM BROTHER ULT2003D The blindhem stitch is built into the Brother ULT2003D and will create an invisible hem. • Place "R" foot on the machine. • Fold fabric in S shape. Pg 3-35 inst. book. • Select 2-01 for woven fabric. • Select 2-02 for knit fabric. • Line the fold of the fabric against the guide on the presser foot. • Stitch. • Adjust the width of the stitch to compensate for different. • The blindhem foot can also be used as a guide for perfect edge stitching. • Stitch 1-01 Width 1.0 • Place edge of fabric next to the guide. • Guide holds fabric for a perfect edge. • The blindhem stitch can be used to attach lining to fabric. • Presser foot "J". • Blind hem stitch. • Sew a seam as you would with a regular straight stitch. Have the bite of the zigzag directed into the body of the fabric. When the lining is turned back it looks like a hand picked hem. 3

Place “R” foot on the machine.
Fold fabric in S shape.

Select 2-01 for woven fabric.
Select 2-02 for knit fabric.
Line the fold of the fabric against the
guide on the presser foot.
Stitch.
Adjust the width of the stitch to
compensate for different.
