Check these also when you cannot install ScanGear. Machine Status If the machine and computer are connected with a USB cable, disconnect the USB cable from the computer. Turn off the machine. Computer Settings Close all running applications. In Windows 7 and Windows Vista, log on to an administrator account. In Windows XP, log on as the administrator of the computer. In Windows 2000, log on as a member of the Administrators group. Note If an older version of ScanGear is already installed, delete (uninstall) it beforehand. Before Installing the ScanGear (Scanner Driver)
Check the following points before installing ScanGear (scanner driver). Check these also when you
cannot install ScanGear.
Machine Status
If the machine and computer are connected with a USB cable, disconnect the USB cable from the
computer.
Turn off the machine.
Computer Settings
Close all running applications.
In Windows 7 and Windows Vista, log on to an administrator account.
In Windows XP, log on as the administrator of the computer.
In Windows 2000, log on as a member of the Administrators group.
Note
If an older version of ScanGear is already installed, delete (uninstall) it beforehand.
