Playing Back a Memory Card With the OPTURA500, you need to switch between the playback modes using the CARD STILL/MOVIE button to display still images (in still image playback mode) or E MPEG-4 movies (in movie playback mode). With the OPTURA400, the playback mode is the same for both still images and Motion JPEG movies. To playback a movie, press the CARD STILL/MOVIE button. The camcorder displays the movie playback mode. 2. Press the CARD +/- button to move between images. CARD Using a Memory Card 3. To play back a movie, press the e/a button. • The first scene appears as a still image when playback is complete. • Pressing the e/a button during playback pauses the playback. Press the e/a button again to restart playback. • Pressing the 3 button displays the first scene of the movie. • Press the CARD +/- button (or the REW`/FF1 button on the wireless controller) for 8× fast forward/fast rewind playback. 111

With the OPTURA500, you need to switch between the playback modes using the
CARD STILL/MOVIE button to display still images (in still image playback mode) or
MPEG-4 movies (in movie playback mode).
With the OPTURA400, the playback mode is the same for both still images and Motion
JPEG movies.
1. Set the camcorder to CARD PLAY mode.
To playback a movie, press the CARD STILL/MOVIE button. The camcorder
displays the movie playback mode.
2. Press the CARD +/– button to move between images.
3. To play back a movie, press the
