8: y Shooting Candlelight Portraits When you want to photograph a person in candlelight, use (Candlelight). The atmosphere of candlelight is reflected in the color tones of the picture. Shooting Tips Use the center AF point to focus. Aim the center AF point in the viewfinder on the subject, then shoot. Prevent camera shake if the numeric display (shutter speed) in the viewfinder blinks. Under low light, the viewfinder's shutter speed display will blink. Hold the camera steady or use a tripod. When using a zoom lens, you can reduce the blur caused by camera shake by setting the lens to the wide-angle end. Change the color tone. You can change [Color tone]. To increase the candlelight's reddish tinge, set it toward [Warm]. Set it toward [Cool] if it looks too red. 98
