Playback/Erasing 2 Use the S or T button to select (Cut Beginning) or (Cut End) and the W or X button to specify the point ( ) at which to cut. zTo check a temporarily edited movie, select (Play) and press the FUNC./SET button. zSelecting (Exit) cancels the edit and restores the movie control panel. 3 Select (Save) and press the FUNC./SET button. 4 Select [New File] or [Overwrite] and press the FUNC./SET button. z[New File] saves the edited movie under a new file name. The preedit data is left unchanged. Note, if you press the FUNC./SET button while saving the movie, saving is canceled. z[Overwrite] saves the edited movie with its original name. The pre-edit data is lost. zWhen there is not enough space left on the memory card, only [Overwrite] can be selected. It may take approximately 3 minutes to save an edited movie. If the battery runs out of charge partway through, edited movie clips cannot be saved. When editing movies, it is recommended that you use two new size-AA alkaline batteries, two fully charged size-AA NiMH batteries, or the separately sold AC Adapter Kit ACK800 (p. 90). 61
