Various Shooting Methods 109 You cannot change the AF frame setting while focusing manually. Cancel the manual focus mode, then change the AF frame setting. Using the Manual Focus in Combination with the Auto Focus (Safety MF) First, manual focus is used to roughly focus, then from that focus position the camera automatically focuses more accurately. 1 Select [Safety MF]. 1. Press the MENU button. 2. In the menu, use the or button to select [Safety MF]. 2 Make settings. 1. Use the or button to select [On]. 2. Press the MENU button. 3 First focus manually and then press the shutter button halfway. • The focus will be fine-tuned at the optimal point of focus. 4 To shoot, press the shutter button all the way down (press fully).

Using the Manual Focus in Combination with the
Auto Focus (Safety MF)
First, manual focus is used to roughly focus, then from that focus
position the camera automatically focuses more accurately.
You cannot change the AF frame setting while focusing
manually. Cancel the manual focus mode, then change the AF
frame setting.

Select [Safety MF].

Press the
MENU
button.

In the
menu, use the
or
button to select [Safety MF].

Make settings.

Use the

button to select
[On].
2.
Press the
MENU
button.

First focus manually and then press the
shutter button halfway.
• The focus will be fine-tuned at the optimal point of focus.
