Executing Special Functions I Using Background Printing If background printing is selected with the Chooser, you can open the BJ PrintMonitor to confirm the progress of printing or to stop printing. About background printing The print processing method that enables you to do other tasks simultaneously while printing documents is called background printing. When background printing is to be performed, select Chooser from the Apple Menu, select a printer driver, and set Backgrounding to On.
