Chapter 2 Setup Note • In Windows 7/Vista and Windows XP, a message appears when installation is complete. • The DR-6010C is installed in Device Manager under [Imaging Devices] as [CANON DR6010C USB] or [CANON DR-6010C SCSI]. About Auto Power OFF Function This scanner includes an Auto Power OFF function. When this function is enabled, the scanner will turn OFF automatically if no operations are performed for 4 hours. The setting of the Auto Power OFF function can be changed as necessary. (See "Auto Power OFF Function," on p. 3-34.) Note Depending on your country or region, the Auto Power OFF function may be enabled under factory default conditions. IMPORTANT The scanner's power switch remains in the ON position even after the power is turned off by the Auto Power OFF function. To turn the power back on again, turn off the power switch and then turn it back on again. When doing this, wait at least 10 seconds after operation of the Auto Power OFF function before turning the power back on again. 2-15

About Auto Power OFF Function
This scanner includes an Auto Power OFF function. When this function is enabled, the
scanner will turn OFF automatically if no operations are performed for 4 hours.
The setting of the Auto Power OFF function can be changed as necessary.

Depending on your country or region, the Auto Power OFF function may be enabled under
factory default conditions.
IMPORTANT
The scanner’s power switch remains in the ON position even after the power is turned off by
the Auto Power OFF function. To turn the power back on again, turn off the power switch and
then turn it back on again. When doing this, wait at least 10 seconds after operation of the
Auto Power OFF function before turning the power back on again.
