Chapter 4 Maintenance Removing the Retard Roller 1 Hold the upper unit as shown in the diagram, and open it until it stops. IMPORTANT When opening the upper unit, do not grasp the roller unit in the center. Doing so may distort the rollers and lead to a feeding error. 4-11
