Selecting and Playing a Tone Playing a Piano Duet You can use the Duet Mode to split the piano's keyboard in the center so two people can play a duet. The left and right side keyboards have virtually the same range. If you have the optionally available SP-30 Pedal Unit installed, the left pedal operates as the left side damper pedal, while the right pedal is the right side damper pedal. The Duet Mode is the perfect way to conduct lessons, with the teacher playing on the left side as the student plays the same song on the right side. Press the MUSIC LIBRARY button so the MUSIC LIBRARY lamp (below the button) is lit. NOTE • In place of step 1 above, you also could press the CARD button so the lamp above the button is lit, and then advance to step 2. 2. While holding down the SPLIT button, press the TONE/REGISTRATION button. • This will enter the Duet Mode, which causes "dUE" (duet) to appear on the display. To exit the Duet Mode, press the SPLIT button. You can use the Duet Mode to split the piano’s
