Maintenance/Adjustment & FAQ Maintenance/Adjustment Your Cobra CB transceiver is specifically designed for the environment encountered in mobile installations. The use of all solid state circuitry and its light weight result in high reliability. Should a failure occur, however, review the following, then if necessary, replace parts with identical parts. Substitution is not recommended. If you have questions, please call Cobra Customer Care at 800-543-1608 (hours are listed on the Cobra.com website). 1. Check connections to the source of power and make sure it is the 13.8 VDC required to operate your radio. 2. Check Bluetooth® connection and be sure handset and transceiver are paired. 3. Check the fuses in the DC power cord and in the 12V accessory power plug.The main power lead (red) has a 2 Amp fuse - type F2AL 125V - UL rated in its holder. Use only the above specified type and size fuse for maximum protection. Failure to do so will void the warranty. 4. Make certain the microphone is properly plugged in. 5. Make certain the antenna is properly assembled and connected. If you are unable to correct the problem, please contact Cobra customer service. 20 Troubleshooting TroubleshootIinntrog Problem: Operation Customer Assistance When streaming or taking a phone call from my headset, I hear static. Installation Customer Assistance Secondary Icons Why can't I hear anything coming out of my headset? Notice Caution I cannot disconnect my headset from the All Road. Warranty Recommended Action(s): - Turn the volume on the All Road OFF, or - Adjust the Squelch to the maximum level using the handset (press the SQ/ASQ button). - Pair your headset to the All Road. - Check the Audio Path (through All Road Menu). Warning - Disconnect through the Menu on the handset: Press ENT/MENU>>BLUETOOTH>>PAIR>>HEADSET>>DISCONNECT. I answer a phone call on my SmartPhone and hear no sound. I am not using the All Road or my wireless headset. - Turn off Bluetooth on your Smartphone (headset may still be connected if in range). I cannot Push-to-Talk with my multi-point headset when using the All Road. - A headset requires an external PTT function which can be resolved by using the All Road handset or All Road wireless Push-to-Talk Button to communicate over your headset with the All Road CB. The Handset continuously displays the Cobra Logo and not the normal CB radio. - Disconnect power from the BlackBox unit. - Connect the Handset directly to the BlackBox USB port. - Re-connect 12V power to the BlackBox and push the Handset power button to turn ON the All Road (if needed). - The Handset will automatically pair and connect to the BlackBox and should boot to the CB radio function. - Power down the All Road and remove the Handset from the BlackBox USB port then use the All Road per the original installation and use case. Maintenance/Adjustment
1.
Check connections to the source of power and make sure it is the 13.8 VDC required
to operate your radio.

Check Bluetooth

connection and be sure handset and transceiver are paired.
3.

Problem:
When streaming or taking a phone call from
my headset, I hear static.
Why can't I hear anything coming out of my
headset?
I cannot disconnect my headset from the
All Road.
I answer a phone call on my SmartPhone and
hear no sound. I am not using the All Road or
my wireless headset.
I cannot Push-to-Talk with my multi-point
headset when using the All Road.
The Handset continuously displays the Cobra
Logo and not the normal CB radio.
Recommended Action(s):
-
Turn the volume on the All Road OFF, or
-
Adjust the Squelch to the maximum level
using the handset (press the SQ/ASQ button).

Pair your headset to the All Road.
-
Check the Audio Path (through All Road Menu).

Disconnect through the Menu on the handset:

BLUETOOTH
>>PAIR>>-
HEADSET>>DISCONNECT.

Turn off Bluetooth on your Smartphone
(headset may still be connected if in range).

A headset requires an external PTT function
which can be resolved by using the All Road
handset or All Road wireless Push-to-Talk
Button to communicate over your headset with
the All Road CB.

Disconnect power from the BlackBox unit.

Connect the Handset directly to the BlackBox
USB port.

Re-connect 12V power to the BlackBox and
push the Handset power button to turn ON the
All Road (if needed).

The Handset will automatically pair and
connect to the BlackBox and should boot to
the CB radio function.

Power down the All Road and remove the
Handset from the BlackBox USB port then use
the All Road per the original installation and
use case.
