Obtaining an Optional Memory Expansion Board For a list of the memory expansion boards available for the computer, refer to Worldwide Telephone Numbers for the nearest Compaq authorized dealer, reseller, or service provider. IMPORTANT: The computer only supports SDRAM (synchronous DRAM) memory expansion boards. If you install a different type of memory expansion board, you will receive the following message when you restart the computer: This unit only supports SDRAM. If you receive this message, turn the computer off and remove the memory expansion board. Inserting a Memory Expansion Board To insert an optional memory expansion board: 1. Shut down and turn off computer. 2. Turn the computer bottom side up. 3. Remove the memory compartment cover. 4. Insert the memory expansion board into the empty memory expansion slot at a 45-degree angle 1. Then slide it gently into place until it is seated while tilted. Obtaining an Optional Memory Expansion Board
For a list of the memory expansion boards available for the
