Communication Devices Connecting a Network Cable A network cable has an 8-pin RJ-45 connector at each end. If the network cable contains noise suppression circuitry, which prevents interference from TV and radio reception, orient the circuitry end of the cable toward the notebook. To connect the network cable: 1. Plug the network cable 1 into the RJ-45 network jack on the notebook. 2. Plug the other end of the cable 2 into a network jack. 3. Start or restart the notebook. 4.
