SERVICE AND ADJUSTMENT HOW TO REPLACE THE FUSE If the fuse is blown, the engine will not start The location of the fuse is next to the battery Remove the fuse and replace with a 15 amp automotive fuse (Figure 39) _ 15 amp AutomoUveFuse Figure39 HOW TO SET THE CUTTING HEIGHT The cutting height is set at the factory from tl/2 to 4 inches. To lower or raise the cutting height, make an adjustment to the lifter rod as follows. 1_ Move the lift lever to the lowest position 2. Disconnect the lifter rod from the lifter arm (Figure 40). 3. Turn the lifter rod clockwise to lower or counterclockwise to raise the cutting height 4. Attach the lifter rod to the lifter arm. 5. Move the lift leverto the highest position. HOW TO REPLACE
THE FUSE
If the fuse is blown, the engine will not start
The
location of the fuse
is next to the battery
Remove the fuse
and
replace with a 15 amp
automotive fuse (Figure 39)

HOW TO SET THE CUTTING
HEIGHT
The cutting height is set at
the
factory from tl/2 to 4 inches. To lower
or raise the cutting height, make an
adjustment
to the lifter rod as
follows.
1_
Move the lift lever to the lowest position
2.
Disconnect the lifter
rod from the lifter arm (Figure 40).
3.
Turn the lifter
rod clockwise to lower or counterclockwise
to
raise the cutting height
4.
Attach the lifter rod to the lifter
arm.
5.
Move the lift leverto the highest position. Make sure the pulleys
or belt do not touch
the
bottom of the frame

HOW TO
CLEAN
THE MOWER
HOUSING

WARNING:
Before you
clean the mower housing,
stop the engine and disconnect the wire to the spark
plug.
Grass and other debris on top of the mower housing can keep the
belt
from
working
correctly
For
safety and correct
operation,
frequently
clean the top of the mower housing
Remove grass and
debris from around the pulleys and other moving parts

Move the lever for the attachment clutch to the ENGAGE posi-
tion.

Clean the top of the mower housing.
3.
Move
the
lever for the attachment clutch to the DISENGAGE
position.
4.
Again clean the top of the mower housing
5.
After you cut the grass, clean the bottom of the mower housing.

ALIGNMENT
The alignment of the front wheels cannot be adjusted Ifthe steering
is damaged
and the alignment
has changed,
see your nearest
authorized service center
