Movethe snowthrowerout of thecarton. 3. Makecertainthe carton has beencompletelyemptiedbefore discardingit. ASSEMBLY Positioning the Upper Handle 1. Pivotthe upper handleintothe operatingpositionmakingsurenot to pinchthe cablein the process,as illustratedin Figure1,untilit clicks intoplace. Figure1 J Figure2 SETUP Fuel Recommendations Useautomotivegasoline(unleadedor lowleadedto minimizecombustion chamberdeposits)with a minimumof 87 octane.Gasolinewith up to 10%ethanolor 15%MTBE(MethylTertiaryButyl Ether)can be used. Neverusean oil/gasolinemixtureor dirty gasoline.Avoidgetting dirt, dust,or waterin the fuel tank.DO NOTuse E85 gasoline. • Refuelin a well-ventilatedarea with the enginestopped.Do not smokeor allowflamesor sparksin the areawherethe engineis refueledor wheregasolineis stored. • Donot overfillthe fueltank.After refueling,makesurethe tank cap is closed properlyand securely. J • Be carefulnotto spillfuel whenrefueling.Spilledfuel or fuel vapor may ignite. If any fuelis spilled,makesurethe area is dry before startingthe engine. • Avoidrepeatedor prolongedcontact with skinor breathingof vapor. Adding Fuel Useextremecarewhenhandlinggasoline.Gasolineis extremely flammableand the vaporsare explosive.Neverfuelthe machine indoorsor whilethe engineis hot or running.Extinguishcigarettes, cigars,pipesand othersourcesof ignition.
