Section 3 - Configuration DDNS Click the DDNS button from the Configuration screen to access DDNS settings. Dynamic DNS (DDNS): Dynamic DNS (Domain Name Service) is a method of keeping a domain name linked to a changing (dynamic) IP address. With most Cable and DSL connections, you are assigned a dynamic IP address and that address is used only for the duration of that specific connection. With the DCS-2120, you can set up your DDNS service and the DCS-2120 will automatically update your DDNS server every time it receives a different IP address. Enable DDNS: Check to enable the DDNS function. Provider: Select your Dynamic DNS provider from the drop-down menu. Hostname: Enter the host name of the DDNS server. Username / Email: Enter your username or e-mail used to connect to the DDNS server. Password / Key: Enter your password or key used to connect to the DDNS server. D-Link DCS-2120 User Manual 38
