Radio Profiles You can easily assign radio configuration parameters to many radios by configuring a radio profile and assigning the profile to the radios. To use a radio, you must assign a profile to the radio. You can enable the radio when you assign the profile. The table below summarizes the parameters controlled by radio profiles. Generally, the only radio parameters controlled by the profile that you need to modify are the SSIDs and, if applicable, Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA) settings. The other parameter settings are standard. Parameter active-scan beacon-interval countermeasures dtim-interval frag-threshold max-rx-lifetime max-tx-lifetime preamble-length qos-mode rfid-mode rts-threshold service-profile wmm-powersave Default Value enable 100 Not configured 1 2346 2000 2000 short WMM Radio Behavior When Parameter Set To Default Value Sends probe any requests (probe requests with a null SSID name) to solicit probe responses from other access points. Waits 100ms between beacons. Does not issue countermeasures against any device. Sends the delivery traffic indication map (DTIM) afterevery beacon. Uses the short-retry-count for frames shorter than 2346 bytes and uses the long-retry-count for frames that are 2346 bytes or longer. Allows a received frame to stay in the buffer for up to 2000ms (2 seconds). Allows a frame that is scheduled for transmission to stay in the buffer for up to 2000 ms(2 seconds). Advertises support for short 802.1 1b preambles, accepts either short or long 802.11b preambles, and generates unicast frames with the preamble length specified by the client. Note: This parameter applies only to 802.11b/g radios. Classifies and marks traffic based on 802.1p and DSCP, and optimizes forwarding prioritization of AP radios for Wi-Fi Multimedia (WMM). Disable Radio does not function as alocation receiver in an AeroScout Visibility System. 2346 Transmits frames longer than 2346 bytes by means of the Request-to-Send/Clear-to-Send (RTS/CTS) method. No service profiles defined You must configure a profile. The service profile sets defined the SSID name and other parameters. Radio Proﬁles

You can easily assign radio configuration parameters to many radios by configuring a radio profile and

assigning the proﬁle to the radios. To use a radio, you must assign a proﬁle to the radio. You can enable

the radio when you assign the proﬁle.

The table below summarizes the parameters controlled by radio proﬁles. Generally, the only radio

parameters controlled by the proﬁle that you need to modify are the SSIDs and, if applicable, Wi-Fi
