NOTE: Unless indicated otherwise, use the default parameters values. Validation Impact Severity To clarify the above note for using default parameter settings unless stated otherwise in this chapter, make sure that the following are set per the default OS setting: ● LUN and HBA queue depth ● HBA timeout Stability & Performance Recommended Fibre Channel Configuration: No more than eight (8) paths per LUN should be used with an AIX host that is connected to PowerStore. Stability & Performance Mandatory LUN Queue Depth: Performance Recommended If I/O throttling is required, the default depth value of 256 should be modified to a lower value. HBA FC max I/O size: max_xfer_size should be set to 1 MB.
