20 Setting parental controls Setting parental control levels You can set parental controls for the U.S. and Canada. The following procedure shows how to set controls for U.S. TV ratings. You use similar steps for controlling U.S. movie and Canadian TV ratings. To set parental controls: 1 Press MENU. The on-screen menu opens. 5 Press or to highlight System Lock, then press or to select On. 2 Press or to highlight Setup, then press . The Setup menu opens with Parental Controls selected. 6 Press or to highlight US, then press ENTER. The US settings sub-menu opens. Note: Select Canada to set Canadian TV controls. Parental Controls 3 Press ENTER. The Enter Password screen opens. 7 Press or to highlight TV, then press ENTER. The U.S. TV RATING screen opens. Note: Select MPAA to set controls for U.S. movie ratings. 4 Press the number buttons to enter the four-digit password. The Parental Controls sub menu opens. 8 Press or to highlight the rating you want to block, then press ENTER. A lock symbol appears when a rating is blocked. Note: On the MPAA Rating screen, press or to select the rating. That rating and all other higher ratings are blocked.
