Installing the Color Print Head Follow these steps to install the color print head: 1. Make sure the printer is turned on and the Data light is off. 2. Open the printer cover using the notch in the middle of the cover. 3. Press the Pause button to turn the Pause light on. 4. Hold down the Alt button for about five seconds until the print head unit moves slightly left, to the print head install position. The Pause light flashes. c Caution: Do not move the print head unit by hand. Always use the Alt button to move it. 1-8 Setting Up the Printer

Installing the Color Print Head
Follow these steps to install the color print head:
1.
Make sure the printer is turned on and the
Data
light is off.
2.
Open the printer cover using the notch in the middle of the
cover.
3.
Press the
Pause
button to turn the
Pause
light on.
4.
Hold down the
Alt
button for about five seconds until the
print head unit moves slightly left, to the print head install
position. The
Pause
light flashes.
