Ice maker makes unfamiliar sounds or seems too loud. Ice boost function not increasing rate of ice production. Possible causes Filter needs replacing. Air trapped in tank. New filter installed. Filter cartridge is restricted. Freezer door not closing tightly. Normal ice maker operation. Ambient temperature very warm. Refrigerator is in high usage. What to do Replace filter as soon as possible. Flush 3 qt (3 L) water through dispenser, stopping intermittently. Flush 10 qt (10 L) water through filter and then 3 qt (3 L) through dispenser. Replace filter as soon as possible. Arrange items in freezer so door can close tightly. Check and clean door gasket seal. Refer to section 'ActiveSmart™ user warning and sounds'.
