Quick Start Guide 13 8. Lock Screen The Lock screen is displayed whenever your phone is locked. You can lock your phone to prevent accidental button or touch screen presses when the phone is in your bag or pocket. Locking your phone Your phone automatically locks when your phone is password protected, and the set idle time has elapsed. Your phone locks itself and requires the correct password entry to unlock it. For more information about setting a password and idle time for your phone, see the "Protecting your phone with a password" chapter of the User Manual PDF. You can also lock the phone manually. Tap Start and then tap Lock in the lower left corner of the Start screen, or long press the END button until the phone vibrates. Checking notifications when the phone is locked When your phone is locked, you are still notified of missed calls, new messages, and upcoming appointments. The Lock screen shows the next upcoming appointment and the Lock button shows the number of notifications.

Lock Screen
The Lock screen is displayed whenever your phone is locked. You can lock your phone to
prevent accidental button or touch screen presses when the phone is in your bag or pocket.
Locking your phone
Your phone automatically locks when
your phone is password protected, and the set idle
time has elapsed. Your phone locks itself and requires the correct password entry to unlock
