Quick Start Guide 17 11. Straight Talk™ Your phone features Straight Talk™, a technology that integrates messaging, voice, and three-way calling. With a dual microphone and speaker that enhance voice quality and reduce noise, Straight Talk turns your phone into a conference room speakerphone system. Making a voice call from a message When you select or view a text or email message, you can directly call the sender of the message. • On the Messages tab, Mail tab, or the Inbox, select a message and then press TALK/SEND. The Phone screen opens with the sender's phone number automatically filled in and ready to be dialed. Tap Talk or press TALK/SEND again to call the sender. • Open a received email. You can tap the Talk icon ( ) that is displayed to the right of the sender name to call the sender, if this sender is a stored contact. • Tapping a phone number that is displayed in the body of the message also allows you to call that number. Tip If you made a call from an email message, an email indicator will be shown on the Keypad button ( ). Tap this button to view the email content directly on the Phone screen. Starting a three-way call in CDMA mode 1. Press the TALK/SEND button to open the Phone screen. 2. Make the call to the first participant. 3. When the first call is connected, make a call to the second participant. The first call is put on hold when you dial the second call. 4. When the second call is connected, tap Flash to start the three-way call. The screen displays Call in progress.

Making a voice call from a message
When you select or view a text or email message, you can directly call the sender of the
message.
On the Messages tab, Mail tab, or the Inbox, select a message and then press
TALK/SEND. The Phone screen opens with the sender’s phone number automatically
filled in and ready to be dialed. Tap
Talk
or press TALK/SEND again to call the sender.

Press the TALK/SEND button to open the Phone screen.
