Configuring Bandwidth Fairness As of Cisco SAN-OS Release 3.1(2) and later, all 48-port and 24-port 4-Gbps Fibre Channel switching modules, as well as 18-port Fibre Channel/4-port GigabitEthernet Multiservice modules, have bandwidth fairness enabled by default, which improves fairness of bandwidth allocation among all ports and provides better throughput average to individual data streams. Bandwidth fairness can be configured per module. Caution When you disable or enable bandwidth fairness, the change does not take effect until you reload the module.
