Reading or entering the pairing code There are two methods to pair your mobile device with your PC: ● QR code method-Uses the camera on your mobile device to read a QR code (barcode) that is displayed on your PC's screen ● Manual method-Manually enter into your mobile device a four-digit code that is displayed on your PC's screen Using the QR code method To pair your mobile device with your PC using the QR code method: 1. After selecting the PC you wish to pair with (refer to Pairing your mobile device with your PC on page 4), the camera on your mobile device will activate and a QR code will be displayed on your PC. 2. Use the guide on your mobile device's screen to line up the camera with the QR code displayed on your PC, and hold your mobile device still until it reads the QR code. When the QR code has been read successfully, the camera on your mobile device will deactivate. NOTE: The camera on your mobile device must be within 61 cm (24 in) of your PC's screen in order to successfully read the QR code. 3. Android-On your mobile device, you may optionally enter a nickname for your PC in the box provided. Tap the button to complete the pairing process. iOS-On your mobile device, tap the Pair button. You may then optionally enter a nickname for your PC in the box provided. Tap either Yes or No to complete the pairing process. NOTE: Entering a nickname for your PC only affects what the HP Connected Remote mobile app refers to your PC as. It does not change the actual name of your PC. If the PC component of HP Connected Remote has an update available, you will get a prompt asking if you wish to go ahead and apply the update, and you can also set the PC component to update automatically. Reading or entering the pairing code
There are two methods to pair your mobile device with your PC:
QR code method—Uses the camera on your mobile device to read a QR code (barcode) that is
displayed on your PC's screen
Manual method—Manually enter into your mobile device a four-digit code that is displayed on
your PC's screen
Using the QR code method
To pair your mobile device with your PC using the QR code method:

), the camera on your mobile device will activate and a QR code will be displayed on
your PC.

Use the guide on your mobile device's screen to line up the camera with the QR code displayed

NOTE:
