Controlling the Use of Images & Volumes Note that if the hard disk image file is modified, the CVol files associated with it will be obsolete. Therefore Persistent mode should only be used when the original image file will not change often or when you can easily recreate persistent files after the image file has changed. Tip: As Neoware Image Manager Server automatically copies the reference CVol files to the actual CVol files to be used, it is recommended that the reference CVol files are compacted using the CVolCompactor tool before they are actually used.
