For each component, there are three installation options: • GUI installation-A series of dialog boxes and prompts guide you through the installation process. • Non-GUI installation-A series of commands are necessary to complete the installation. • Silent installation-The installer uses the default install path for the platform and no output displays for the user. Silent installation is typically used by system administrators who have many installations that are configured identically and require minimal user interaction. During a silent installation, install an HPPP Administrator or Client through the assisted installation method that is appropriate for the operating system. Installation overview
Follow these guidelines when installing HPPP components:
HPPP Administrator—Install the HPPP Administrator on the server that is connected to the UPS serial port
or USB port.
HPPP Client—Install the HPPP Client on any computer that is powered by the UPS.
