To allow a user to run specific tools and programs with permissions that are different from those assigned to the user account, use the Windows RunAs command, which allows you to save the password (Windows XP SP2 and later versions). Use the following Microsoft command: runas /profile /user: /savecred Upon the first execution, a password is required. The password is saved for subsequent executions. For Linux, the HP Power Protector process runs under root privilege, and SUDO is not needed to execute a program or shell script. o Email-Sends an email notification.
