Page 42 highlights

The HP EFC Server is dedicated to operation of the HP EFC Manager and Product Manager applications. The applications provide a graphical user interface (GUI) and management services, and implement Web and other server functions. Refer to Chapter 3 for information about the HP EFC Manager and Product Manager applications. Note The HP EFC Server and HP EFC Manager application provide a GUI to monitor and manage Fibre Channel products, and are a dedicated hardware and software solution that should not be used for other tasks. HP tests the HP EFC Manager application installed on the HP EFC Server, but does not compatibility test other, third-party software. Modifications to the HP EFC Server hardware or installation of additional software (including patches or service packs) may interfere with normal operation. United States English is the only language supported by the server keyboard and the HP EFC Manager, Product Manager, and Fabric Manager applications. The HP EFC Server provides an auto-detecting 10/100 Mbps LAN connection, provided by an internal Ethernet adapter card. This LAN port attaches to the customer's public intranet to allow access from remote user workstations. An optional Ethernet adapter card (not supplied by HP) can be installed in the personal computer memory card international association (PCMCIA) slot to provide a connection to a private LAN segment for dedicated director communication. HP EFC Server Specifications The following list summarizes hardware specifications for the HP EFC Server. • HP OmniBook 6000 PC with color monitor, keyboard, keyboard-mounted trackpad (mouse), and power cord. • Eighteen gigabyte (GB) or greater internal hard drive. • 160 megabyte (MB) or greater RAM. • Removable DVD/CD-ROM drive. • 1.44 MB 3.5-inch disk drive. • Removable 100 MB disk (Zip®) drive.
