Desktop Board Features PME# Signal Wake-up Support When the PME# signal on the PCI bus is asserted, the computer wakes from an ACPI S1, S3, S4, or S5 state. WAKE# Signal Wake-up Support When the WAKE# signal on the PCI Express bus is asserted, the computer wakes from an ACPI S1, S3, S4, or S5 state. ENERGY STAR* Capable The US Department of Energy and the US Environmental Protection Agency have recently revised the ENERGY STAR requirements. Intel worked directly with these governmental agencies to define the new requirements. Currently, Intel Desktop Boards are capable of meeting the new ENERGY STAR requirements depending on system configuration. The speaker provides audible error code (beep code) information during the Power-On Self-Test (POST). Battery A battery on the Desktop Board keeps the values in CMOS RAM and the clock current when the computer is turned off. Go to page 59 for instructions on how to replace the battery. Real-Time Clock The Desktop Board has a time-of-day clock and 100-year calendar. The battery on the Desktop Board keeps the clock current when the computer is turned off. 29
